The 3 Steps To Success, No Matter What Nich You're In!
Written by Robert Logan
“Our progress up to this point of our lives is simply a result of the steps we have already taken.”

Everyone wants to be successful. The question is how do you become successful at something? What you define as success, doesn’t matter as much as how you arrive there. The answer may be far simpler than you think. I am going to outline for you the 3 steps to achieve success at almost anything.

1. Find someone who is already doing what it is you want to do. Whatever it is that you want to accomplish, you can almost rest assured that somebody else has already accomplished this. Therefore this stage of your journey is about research.

You want to identify the industry leaders for your thing and compile a list. It’s important to understand who these people are. You need to know their backgrounds, their personalities and what they offer. With the availability of social media and Google, you can get a pretty good read on who people are and how they might be a good fit, or not, for you.

2. Study what they have done. Investing in yourself is the key to growth in all areas of our lives. One of the best ways you can do this is by finding a mentor and studying what they have done. There are many options for how you may go about this, some are free and some are not. Both are fine, but you must understand, that one presents significant advantages over the other.

Free options to study a mentors process do exist. Most industry professionals will put out content on their Facebook pages, YouTube channels, podcasts and blog. There is a ton of great content that is of true value. The issue you run into with free content is that it is a piece of the puzzle and you are then forced to try to put the puzzle together on your own.

I’ve been down this road of trial and error and while I was able to get results, it wasn’t until I decided to invest in myself that I was really able to level up fast. People pay mentors to speed up the process and get proven results. They take courses, get coaching or consulting and attend seminars.

Of course, there is a cost to this method, however, I believe it is actually an investment into myself and my future. By going to seminars and taking courses I have been able to purchase expert advice, along with step by step roadmaps to get the results I was looking for. I can honestly say, that to date, I have got more value out of myself investments than the upfront cost to acquire that advice.

3. Follow their instructions. It seems so simple, doesn’t it? Yet, I can’t tell you how many people simply don’t put in the work. It just doesn’t make sense. You can own the map to paradise, but if you will not take the actions needed to get there, well, you can’t go to paradise!

I used to suffer from what I like to call “yabuts”, ya but what if this and ya but what if that? I had a hard time just buckling down and trusting the process. Over the years I have learned that if I am going to pay someone to show me the way because they have already been there, I’m going to simply take the actions asked of me. If something goes wrong, then I’ll ask for feedback.

The process is so simple if you will but follow it. Understand that success always leaves clues and the map is there for you to find it and use if you really want to.
